What is Hazing in Sports?

Examples of Hazing in College Sports:

4. Humiliating Tasks

Athletes may be assigned degrading or embarrassing tasks, such as wearing unusual costumes, public humiliation, or engaging in inappropriate and sometimes illegal behavior.

5. Isolation or Exclusion

Athletes may be purposefully excluded from team activities to create isolation and division from the rest of the team.

6. Sexual Hazing

Sexual hazing is inappropriate sexual conduct that often results in shame, embarrassment, and emotional torment of the victim. Unfortunately, this type of hazing is the least likely to be reported.
