John Doe, by and through his next friends, Jane Doe and Richard Doe,  filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan against Holt Public Schools – a District who, in January 2018, announced it had learned that Larry Nassar sexually assaulted three girls on District property.  While the District attempted to reassure the public of its commitment to preventing child sex abuse, it blatantly disregarded multiple reports and administrators’ own observations of sexual misconduct against our client and other boys at Washington Woods Middle School from 2015 to 2018 – including one child’s complaint to the Principal’s Office during the 2016-2017 academic school year.   The family is seeking accountability and justice for the sexual abuse perpetrated by fifth-grade teacher Patrick Daley, who, like Nassar, was criminally convicted for sexually abusing children.
